The Papenwohld Artist Residency program seeks to provide artists with an inspiring and positive environment that will foster true collaboration, resulting in new contacts for participants and deepening existing relationships. Our goal is to bring together a diverse group that will create innovative, relevant and honest work. To this end, artists should be given as much room for exploration as possible – large companies and state institutions have no say here. Instead, artists will develop their work in a direct, authentic, and sincere exchange with their audience.
