Plastic in the sea – the Marine Litter Cleanup

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Plastic in the sea is a big threat to all living creatures. Annually millions of tons reach the ocean as waste and increase the pollution.
One Earth – One Ocean is dedicated to remove plastic from the sea before it breaks down to microplastic which cannot be removed from the sea yet.
Therefore technologies are developed to collect plastics from the sea and recycle or convert the plastic back into fuel again. This development of the concept of the Marine Litter Cleanup is introduced including impressions of the MS Seekuh which is presently working in Hong Kong.
The next ship that is going to be developed is called the MS Seeelefant. This will be a converted container ship that will clean, sort, recycle plastic collected from the sea and converts plastics into fuel.
